Phoenix develops awareness-raising educational materials (field-guides, booklets, colorful posters, and CDs) with information about rare and endangered species of the Primorsky region and then distributes them among schools, eco-centres and summer camps.
Among editions we have produced together with our partners there are: a trilogy of illustrated Russian-English field-guides “Green book of the Sikhote-Alin”, “Animals of the Ussuri taiga” and “Animals and plants of the Japan Sea”; a booklet about black vultures; children’s books about Amur tiger and Amur leopard; a CD “Inhabitants of the Sea of Japan”; a series of four posters “Amur tiger’s home”; a tiger game- book; leaflets “Amur tiger: guidelines to human behavior and livestock management in tiger habitat” and “Guidelines to frontier officers who serve in tiger and leopard habitat”; a research paper “Estimation of Himalayan black bear population in Primorky and Khabarovsly regions”; multimedia encyclopedias “Biodiversity of Primorsky region (animals)” and “Sea species of the south of the Russian Far East”; a series of six posters “Flora and fauna of the Russian Far East”.
