Just lately Phoenix got the latest news from Inspection Tiger on the status of recently released tiger.
According to Victor Gaponov, director of Inspection Tiger, radio-collar signal is rather steady. The “liberated” tiger remains on the territory of Mikhailovsky district of Primorye and during the month visited the place of release twice. It also stayed near Pravaya Ilistaya stream for a while but on last Wednesday, October 7, it overpassed the hills and headed southwest. Now the tiger stays at the territory of Ussuriisky Nature Reserve at the upstream of the Komarovka river. The specialists believe the animal is healthy and doing well which is a good news for all of us!
Phoenix Fund on behalf of the tiger wants to thank everyone who took up the call for help and donated money for tiger cub’s rehabilitation. Phoenix would like to thank the Save the Tiger Fund for continuous support of the Amur tiger conservation project, namely for providing funds to solve tiger-human conflicts in Primorye and to provide medical treatment of injured, sick or imaciated tigers and prepare them for release back into the wild.
