Presentation of “Green book of Sikhote-Alin”, organized by the Phoenix Fund took place on December 26, 2001 in the central library named after Maxim Gorky.
Publication of this book became possible due to work of the Phoenix Fund and Ecotourism Development Programme of WWF-RFE. This publication was supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Moscow office.
The longer people live in cities, the sharper they feel the necessity to keep connection with wildlife. This book, intended for tourists, travelers and researches, will provide a rich material for observation and will help take a look in wonderful coners of the native Territory and get acquainted with the unique world of the Sikhote-Alin.
In the manual there are pictures and descriptions of three hundred plants, fungi and lichen comprising a small part of flora of this astonishing area in the south of the Russian Far East.
