On September 15, Russian media informed that the construction of the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipeline started in Primorye according to the agreement signed by Primorsky Krai Administration and Russian energy giant Gasprom. The first joint of the gas pipeline in Primorye was welded on September 14 nearby Ivanovka village of Mikhailovsky district.
The day after, the representatives of the Phoenix Fund visited the place where the construction had been launched, but observed no constructions there except several pipes with three welded joints. Domestic cows were pasturing there peacefully. According to the workers that the visitors met on the site, at that moment only preparatory works were being conducted there, such as development of construction work camp within the project area. No trenches have been excavated there yet.
